Tappahannock Presbyterian Church will host a service to celebrate the life of Alice Roye, a contributing member of the Essex County community who passed on July 24th, in Cary, North Carolina. The service will be held on Sunday afternoon, September 8th, at 2:00, and will be followed by a reception. All are welcome.
Alice was a charter member of Tappahannock Presbyterian Church, a founder of Essex Churches Together, a co-leader of Operation Inasmuch, a member of the Tappahannock Artists' Guild. a member of the Community Chorus, parish secretary at St. John's Episcopal Church, school nurse and Health teacher at St. Margaret's School, and was best known as Gracie's "Mom" as she took her friendly walks through town.
